Courses and Clusters
Year 1 CBL Tutorials are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:00-9:50am in the Life Sciences Centre, UBC. Pre-ClusterTutor meetings are held on the Thursday before the start of each cluster, and every Friday at 10am. Details about each cluster will be emailed 1-2 weeks prior to the cluster starting.
The CBL Clusters in Year 1 for 2024-25 are as follows:
Term 1
- MEDD 411A (Wednesday, August 28 – Friday, September 27) 5 weeks
- (Fetal Development, Breast Mass, Immunology & Allergy, Pneumonia/Cough)
- MEDD 411B (Wednesday, October 2 – Friday, November 1) 5 weeks
- (Obstructive Lung Disease, Electrolyte Disturbance, Hypertension, Heart Murmur, Diabetes Mellitus)
- MEDD 411C (Monday, November 4 – Friday, December 6) 5 weeks
- (Upper Gastrointestinal Tract, Nutrient Absorption & Malabsorption, Lower Gastrointestinal Tract, Infertility, Pregnancy)
Term 2
- MEDD 412A (Wednesday, January 15 – Friday, February 7) 4 weeks
- (Neuro Muscular Function & Dysfunction, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Brain Stem)
- MEDD 412B (Monday, February 10 – Friday, March 14) 5 weeks
- (Anemia, Bleeding Disorders & Hematologic Malignancy, Thyroid & Parathyroid, Hypothalamic, Pituitary & End Organ Axis, Adrenal Dysfunction)
- MEDD 412C (Monday, March 17– Friday, April 11) 4 weeks (No CBL case in Week 32)
- (Head Injury, Headache and Pain, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Central Nervous System Infection)
